Jean-Philippe Laroche – President and co-founder
Artist and passionate, Jean-Philippe Laroche enables customers of Magnum Cellars to benefit from his attention to details and his thrusting attention to customer service. With more than 15 years of experience in retail and especially in customized designs of wine cellars, Jean-Philippe ensures the highest quality standards in the execution of our service as well as the design of our products. Today, research and development of new products are at the heart of his passion, making customer service always his primary objective.
Pierre Thivierge – Vice President, Sales & Business Development
With over 20 years experience in Consumer Retail, Pierre held key positions in Sales, Business Development and Management. Using his vision, passion and hard work, Pierre takes pride in adding value to any customer relationship and focusses on contributing to their success.
As the latest addition to the team, Pierre’s innovative approach to retail, love of wine and strong customer focus fits perfectly with Magnum Cellars company DNA committed to a genuine quality approach to business.
Élyse Lambert, Master Sommelier
Canada’s Best Sommelier of 2015, Élyse Lambert represented Canada in April 2016 at the “Best Sommelier in the World Competition” in Argentina where she placed 5th. Élyse also holds the title of Master Sommelier, making her the first Quebecor to achieve this prestigious title and the 4th Canadian.
Elyse has extensive experience in the food service industry having worked with leading restaurants in Quebec, including Relais & Châteaux L’Eau à la Bouche and Auberge Hatley as well as the XO restaurant at Hotel Le St-James in Montreal. Head sommelier at Le Local in Old Montreal for 5 years, she subsequently worked for two years with the Maison Boulud sommelier team at the Ritz Carlton. She now shares her time as a sommelier at the restaurant Graziella in Old Montreal and as consultant and columnist for various media.
Christopher Laroche, Marketing Director and co-founder
Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the HEC Montreal’s University of business, Christopher is a determined individual who spares no effort to ensure customer satisfaction. For him, being attentive to customer’s needs is essential and constitutes the basis for the success of the company.
Being very attentive to details, he possesses a strong analytical capacity giving him the ability to bring forth innovative solutions for the company. Having worked in various businesses during his young career, he adds dynamism and creativity to the team of Magnum Cellars
